Arnold & Itkin recently filed suit in Allegheny County in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania on behalf of a veteran injured in a motor vehicle crash with a Fed-Ex semi-truck. The Fed-Ex truck destroyed the veteran’s trailer, fifth wheel, and his vehicle. As a result of the wreck, the veteran was transported from the scene to a hospital for treatment for injuries to his neck, back, and other parts of his body. Even with treatment, semi-trucks possess massive potential for destruction--there's no guarantee that our client won't be facing a lifetime of discomfort or impairment.
Trucking and shipping companies are in large part responsible for the safety of public roads. Companies must be vigilant about the drivers they hire, the policies they enforce, and the way they train their fleet to travel the roads. Fast shipping should be at the expense of our safety or the public good. The only way to force companies like Fed-Ex to be safer is to hold them accountable in court. That's exactly what our firm plans on doing.
Arnold & Itkin is proud to represent a veteran of the armed services to ensure he receives the care and justice he deserves.
