In March of 2015, a Houston resident was stopped at a red light on FM 1960 near Highway 290 on the northwest side of Houston. While the man was stopped, he was rear-ended by a large commercial truck operated by Cemex. The force of the impact was so great that it pushed the victim’s vehicle into the intersection ahead of him. During the collision, he suffered severe injuries to several parts of his body including his head, neck, back, and knee.
The accident victim chose Arnold & Itkin to represent him in this matter and a lawsuit against Cemex and the truck driver was recently filed in Harris County. The lawsuit alleges that the driver of the truck acted negligently in failing to keep a proper lookout, failing to maintain a safe distance, and failing to stop at a red light. It also alleges that Cemex failed to properly train the driver.
