The commercial truck accident attorneys at Arnold & Itkin filed a lawsuit yesterday on behalf of a Louisiana woman who was injured in a commercial trucking accident. The plaintiff was traveling eastbound with her husband on Interstate 10 when their vehicle was rear-ended by a dump truck as traffic on the freeway slowed. As a result of the collision, the plaintiff was transported by ambulance to a hospital in East Houston to treat injuries to her back, neck and wrist. The driver of the dump truck was written a citation by police for failing to control his speed.
The lawsuit names as defendants both the driver of the dump truck and his employer, Reyna's Construction, citing that the driver failed to maintain a safe speed and distance and that Reyna's Construction failed to properly train the driver.
The lawsuit seeks compensation for the plaintiff's medical bills, pain and suffering, and past and future impairment.
The case was filed in the District Court of Harris County, Texas.
