Case Filed for Motorist Injured by Overloaded Tractor-Trailer

Attorneys Kurt Arnold, Kyle Findley, Kala Sellers, and Adam Lewis filed a lawsuit today in Harris County, Texas against Doors That Work, Inc. This lawsuit stems from a serious commercial motor vehicle accident that occurred on Interstate 10 in Houston, Texas when a commercial truck belonging to Doors That Work rear-ended Arnold & Itkin’s client. To compound matters, the commercial vehicle was hauling an overloaded trailer, and Doors That Work’s driver admitted he was unable to stop his vehicle after the accident.

Tractor-trailers and commercial vehicles in general are legally bound to keep their payloads under 80,000 pounds, a weight that's dangerous enough. There's no good reason that the trailer was loaded beyond capacity, and the company and its driver should have known not to put an overloaded trailer on the road. This crash never should have happened, and we believe our client's compensation should be commensurate the careless, senseless nature of her injuries.

Arnold & Itkin LLP has a proven history of holding commercial carriers responsible for their negligent and reckless behavior, so we look forward to representing our client in this case.
