Case Filed for Man Struck by Company-Owned Truck

Arnold & Itkin is proud to represent a Houston man who was hit by a truck owned by a major international company. The driver of the defendant’s vehicle was cited for “careless operation” of the vehicle. Companies, especially companies that hire truck operators, have a responsibility to ensure their drivers are adequately screened and trained. When employees cause harm to others, it's a reflection of the company's hiring and training practices. Companies like the defendant must be held to a higher standard in court. Otherwise, there will be more people like our client.

As a result of the accident, the man suffered cervical herniations and has had to undergo major medical treatment. Herniated discs in the neck can cause excruciating pain. In some cases, the pain is chronic, leaving people dealing with the effects for the rest of their lives. A life of pain and limited mobility is the cost of this truck driver's carelessness. The driver won't pay for it, but our client will. It's only right that the trucking company and its driver compensate our client for the pain he feels today and will feel in the future. Our firm is eager to get the man the compensation he needs.

Arnold & Itkin filed suit in East Baton Rouge Parish, Louisiana.
