Suit Filed for Woman Injured by Logging Truck While Stopped

Arnold & Itkin LLP attorneys Kurt Arnold, Caj Boatright, Roland Christensen, and Alison Baimbridge filed suit today in Morehouse Parish, Louisiana on behalf of a woman from Oak Grove against a trucking company. Arnold & Itkin’s client was driving a company van and was waiting to turn left into a driveway when she was rear-ended by a large logging truck. Arnold & Itkin’s client, and other individuals also in the van, were severely injured in the crash.

Despite this, the driver of the logging truck fled the scene. His act of cowardice was not only deeply wrong and heartless—it was a crime. Drivers in car accidents are required by law to provide their information to the people involved with the collision. In some cases, they are also required to ensure that injured people are given the medical attention they need.

The defendant’s employee did neither.

This case will not only provide our client with much-needed compensation for her medical treatment, pain, and mental anguish—it will also force trucking companies to understand the importance of hiring responsible drivers.

Arnold & Itkin’s attorneys are proud to represent our client and others against negligent and reckless trucking companies.
