Arnold & Itkin File Louisiana 18-Wheeler Accident Lawsuit

Arnold & Itkin, LLP truck accident attorneys Kurt Arnold, Kyle Findley and Kala Flittner filed a lawsuit today in Bexar County, Texas on behalf of a man who was seriously injured due to the reckless actions of a commercial trucking company, Texas Gathering Company, LLC, and their driver.

Our client was stopped in traffic on Interstate 210 in Lake Charles, Louisiana when he was unexpectedly and abruptly struck from behind by an 18-wheeler that was owned and operated by the defendant.

The force of the impact was so strong it propelled his car forward causing three subsequent collisions. When police arrived to investigate, the commercial truck driver was found to have illegal narcotics on his person and refused to aide in the investigation process. Our client suffered severe injuries a result of the reckless operation of a commercial truck, which weighs up to 80,000 pounds, while the driver was in the possession of illegal narcotics.

Among other things, the lawsuit alleges that the trucking company was negligent in its hiring and screening practices and that the truck driver failed to maintain proper speed and distance and may have been operating the vehicle under the influence of drugs.

In addition to damages for the injured client, his wife is also seeking compensation for loss of consortium.

Arnold & Itkin, LLP has always been proud to represent individuals who have been injured due to the recklessness and negligence of others. Our mission is to hold commercial carriers responsible for their actions that put the rest of the public in undue danger.
